Story: 

Shakyajit Som (played by Abir Chatterjee), an investment banker and YouTube sensation, reluctantly agrees to an arranged marriage after his mother's (Sudipa Basu) persuasion. 

After meeting several potential brides, he develops a liking for Mohor (Lahoma Bhattacharya), an interior decorator. 

As the families prepare for the wedding, Shakya receives a cryptic letter accusing Mohor of being a witch.

Mohor's past relationship with her music teacher Chandramouli Hajra (Parambrata Chatterjee) comes to light, and this encounter between Shakyajit, a smart and confident young man from Kolkata, and Chandramouli, a shy boy from Burdwan, leads to a hilarious mess. Raja Chanda's film provides ample laughter-inducing moments along the way.

Review: 

Biye Bibhrat is a comedy that fully embraces the old Bengali saying, "Lakh Kotha Chara Biye Hoye Na" (A marriage isn't complete without a million conversations). 

The film maintains a lighthearted tone and doesn't attempt to impart any social or moral lessons. This refreshing approach breathes new life into the genre. 

As the film progresses, it thrives on the scintillating chemistry between the seasoned actors, Parambrata Chatterjee and Abir Chatterjee.

It's the bromance between these two that steals the spotlight throughout the film. The charm begins with Chandamouli's entry. 

More than the romance between Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, and the heroine, it's the interpersonal dynamics of these two actors that provide the most entertainment. 

Both Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee exude charm in the film as they navigate through plotting, practising, trying, failing, and even fighting, leaving the audience in stitches.

Abir Chatterjee's character is smart and eloquent, and the actor effortlessly embodies the role. Shakya carries his street smarts with a casual air while secretly relishing his celebrity status. 

He is knowledgeable and unafraid to flaunt it. In contrast, Chandramouli suffers from an inferiority complex due to his small-town upbringing and a challenging relationship with his father. 

As a result, he has become an introverted man plagued by a lack of confidence. Parambrata Chatterjee breathes life into this unassuming character, making Chandramouli, the music teacher, a source of humour.

This being Lahoma Bhattacharya's second film, she captivates with her striking portrayal of Mohor in most scenes. 

However, there is still room for improvement in her performance. Sudipa Basu is fantastic as the typical South Kolkata mother of a Bengali boy, and her character is wonderfully written. 

She understands without imposing. Additionally, Rohit Mukherjee, portraying Mohor's father and Chandramouli's roommate, shines despite having limited screen time.

The film's drawback lies in its clichéd nature. The characters and their predicaments have been extensively explored in popular culture, offering little novelty in terms of plot or execution. 

As a result, the film becomes predictable. Furthermore, with a limited number of characters and locations, the crisis fails to engage the audience, making it a one-time watch.

Nevertheless, Biye Bibhrat is adorned with beautiful songs. Ranajoy Bhattacharjee has crafted a soothing soundtrack, with Arijit Singh's "Jiya Tui Chara" already being a hit. Other songs like "Ghono Megher Elokeshe" also add to the film's beauty.

Verdict: 

Biye Bibhrat masterfully captures the essence of middle-class Bangaliana and infuses it with modern sensibilities. 

It fulfils its promise of being an unapologetic, lighthearted romantic comedy with a simple plotline and undeniable chemistry between its leading actors, Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee. Don't miss their captivating performances in this film.
